A young couple had purchased the shell of a 5 bedroom family house. With a baby due in 3 months time, they were in a serious hurry to move in, but wanted alterations made and the house finished to their own specification.
The clients' African prints and artefacts are displayed against a backdrop of white walls, oak floors and painted colonial shutters. Bold printed fabrics create a stimulating but sophisticated environment for this young family.
Julie Maclean worked with project manager Colin Walker to complete the house on time and to the clients' exacting standards. Their baby Peter was born at home, safely, 2 weeks after move-in day.
